Priority Workers List For Canadian Foreign Worker Applications

Economic Class Applications

All applications pertaining to economic class except those of federal skilled workers, shall be processed according to these given priorities:

  • Canada’s Experience Class
  • Provincial Nominees
  • Investors
  • Quebec Economic Applicants
  • Live-in Caregivers

All applications for federal skilled workers that are submitted on or after February 27, 2008 shall be processed immediately if they meet the following criteria:

  • Applications include an offer stating arranged employment; or
  • Applications that are submitted by foreign nationals who have been staying legally in Canada for atleast 1 year as a temporary foreign worker or as an international student or
  • Applications submitted by skilled workers stating their evidence of experience [note 1] under single or multiple ‘National Occupational Classification’ categories.
